Our Mission: is to address critical challenges related to food security, waste management, and sustainable agriculture,

through Black Soldier Fly (BSFL) protein meal. We are committed to managing waste effectively and supplying high-quality organic fertilizer as a by-product of the BSF process, to support a greener future.

We currently have a small scale BSF larvae production facility in Maputo and in Inhambane. What we produce is currently used for our own poultry layers in Inhambane.

After 2 years of developing our process we have registered significant benefits both in cost savings and animal health, and with the layers , an improved production rate of eggs.

In Mozambique the highest input cost in the production of poultry is the feed, as most of it is imported especially the protein component. We have introduced the Rhode Island Red breed into the country and are currently breeding them in Inhambane. This breed ,we have found to be very hardy and suited to our climactic conditions , less affected by the heat and we find our free range layers, with feed supplemented by BSF protein, give a 60-70% yield, this can continue for at least 3 years. Our aim is to introduce this breed to the small-scale farmers both as layers and broilers.

Our aim is to change the local thinking on poultry farming, making it more cost effective and competitive with cheaper imported poultry, at the same time assisting small-scale farming to be more sustainable and profitable.

In this way we will be helping small scale farmers and large-scale feed producers and contributing to food security in the country.

As a secondary, but equally important, goal;the fertilizer we produce from the larvae is organic , beneficial to soil health and contains no nitrates or phosphates, again this will help in food security and sustainable farming, reduces the risk of soil erosion, degradation and pollution.

Waste management

Feed:

We harness the power of Black Soldier Fly Larvae to transform organic waste into a valuable protein-rich, cost effective feed  supplement. We will empower small scale farmers through learning workshops to repurpose their waste to produce cost effective feed for their livestock.

Assist and coach local communities in rearing our breed of layers , supply them with locally bred Rhode Island Red layers, which are hardy and suited tour climatic conditions. Reduce their production costs through the use of BSF protein supplement in the feed.

Sustainable Farming :

Train local farmers, particularly women, in the use of our products.

Waste from the BSF process will produce a premium organic fertilizer, contributing to improved soil conditions and crop yields, thus helping to. Mitigate the risks from extreme climate conditions which seem to be occurring more frequently.

Waste management.

Some of the worlds biggest landfills are in Africa and is growing every year, BSF can breakdown this waste into protein and organic fertilizer.

Commercial Goals

Commercial Goals

  1. Infrastructure Setup: Construct large scale  BSF breeding facilities, larval rearing areas, and composting units. Layer breeding areas. Incubators and egg production areas
  2. Research and Development: Invest in research to optimize BSF production, nutrition, and processing.
  3. Capacity Building: Train local small scale farmers and in BSF farming techniques.
  4. Market Development: Promote BSF-based products and create market linkages, such as free range egg production using parent stock from our flock of RIR breed.

Expected Impact:

  1. Food Security:Our project will contribute to local food security by providing protein-rich animal feed.
  2. Environmental Stewardship:BSF farming reduces waste and greenhouse gas emissions.
  3. Economic Opportunities:Job creation and income generation for local communities. Empower small scale farmers to produce livestock and crops more cost effectively.

Monitoring and Reporting: We commit to providing regular updates on project progress, impact, and financial accountability.
